#5 Ramadhan Reflection: leaving memory.

There’s hikmah (goodness) in every simple things. There’s reason in every little things. And last night I was told by a dear friend, ‘do you know Su, being forgotten is a blessed too?’. Taken by surprise of her saying, she explain in an easy sentence:

Forget and you can forgive pasts
Forget and you can move on future
Forget and you can build new life
Forget and live.

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding. Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], “Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire. [Ali-Imran: 190-191].

…And yes, we still agree that being forgetful person all the time is wrong. It’s wrong to keeps forgetting how many rakaah of solah you have perform. It’s wrong to forget the promises you’ve made. It’s wrong to forget  ayah Quran.

Hard to admit but there’s blessed in forgetting something too right? A person with crimes suddenly been given hidayah by Allah, if he still hold on to his pasts, he wouldn’t probably be able to move a step further and repent. A person at fault, if he keeps remembering his mistakes and couldn’t make amend, will lose hope and faith. A person of losses, if he keeps thinking about those being at fought to him, will he be able to forgive them?

Nothing happen at chance unless Allah desire them 🙂

They exist in many sorts
Short and tall
Petite and large
Beauty and cute
Fun and fierce
Steadfast and bold
In any matters
They have one similarity
They are loving and loving
Perhaps the reason we call them..
Mom, Happy Mother’s Day
Your love touches the hearts
Like light touches the life
I’m a selfish daughter
I keep my mom to myself (:

Her cooking – Vietnamese Porridge

Photo is my Mom’s version of “Vietnamese Porridge”. It was a very simple and clean meal yet every spoonful has a delicate texture. The soup, the flavoured squid, the seasoned radish and fresh sambal are combined perfectly. I miss my mom’s cooking. She’s the best 😀

roads we travelled

I have travelled down the road of many vices,
I have travelled down the road of fractured dreams,
I have travelled down the roads of lovers leaving,
and I have travelled down those roads enough, it seems.

I have travelled down the highways of injustice,
and travelled on the highways of deceit,
I have travelled down the many roads of doubt,
and traversed too many roads of ‘ incomplete ‘.

I have driven on the turnpikes of destruction,
and I have rested on the sides of these at night,
I have travelled down the roads of wrong selection,
and I have known the fear that comes with needless

I have ventured down the highways of reflection,
and gazed upon the pathways of despair,
I have traveled down the road of self-deception,
and found, that in the end …
nobody really cares!

In all my aimless travel,
I have found it to be true …
that no matter what you think you know,
… there always is a different point of view!

Poem was written by Barry Van Allen, an anonymous figure in celebs world but he is famous in his own way. He wrote lots of  poems and this ‘Road’ is one of the hit. I enjoy the last phrases of this piece about everything can be different in different point of view.
Photo was taken at Timah Tasoh Dam, Perlis. One of magnificent view you can find in my little home town. I’m thinking to print this for a postcard, or just maybe. Having this doubt playing. We’ll see 😀
